Local junk yard
The old guy passed away this winter that owned this junk yard on the way out to Horton Bay. Some cool old stuff, nothing worth restoring, but maybe some parts for someone. I don't think John ever sold anything out of it.

Sad thing is I know some of the cars in the grave yard and remember them being around town.

I love old junk yards. If only those old vehicles could talk.

My mom had a Gremlin with a 360 4 bbl in it. Had a lot of fun in that little car, until Dad made me buy new tires. Making smoke wasn't as much fun after that.

John VanDorn was the name of the guy who owned the junk yard. Always drove junk. His last truck was a 4x2 Dakota. Guy never broke 20 mph. You did not want to get caught behind him on a busy summer day. Great guy, never married. Word is he had a sister still alive to take over all those trophies !

If you know anybody that needs AMC stuff, my brother has one of those old 4 door rambler/matador deals. He bought the house across the street after the old lady that owned it died... the car was in the garage, its still in the garage. If your an amc geek, it is truely a barn find, it hasnt moved frm its spot in that garage for at least 20 years.

In the smog era cars out of Detroit, the 1974 "Matador w/401" was the fastest production car if I remember correctly.
