Those were the side mount systems which were the first whipple for the 500EFI's. They ran great and made allot of power. The new systems(top mount) are even better, more direct air flow with less restrictions. The only issues we had were drive failures which is what I would be concerned about with your 50'. With the amount of power on tap and the size of the boat we went through 9 drives in one summer. Now this was before the Imco extremes and Bmax's etc were avaliable. We sold the Slingshot a few years back and went to a #6 Fountain but had allot of great times in that boat.
