Tried Progressive last night. I need to talk to a rep, the policy they offered me was under $200 but with NO collision, Comprehensive or other coverage to the boat. I wanna see if that can be added for more money and if it can, I may have my policy. Im also gonna call Allstate because Statefarm doesnt sell insurance in Mass. cause the state sucks so bad.

Forgot about that. When we moved from SC to RI, state farm only wrote the policy for our cars, boat and house because we were existing policy holders in SC. That was 1995, and they told us they were not doing any new policy holders in RI then. I guess Mass is jsut as bad.

I've got 34 years with them now. Occasionally shop around, but apples to apples, nobody can beat the price. And the service we've gotten is second to none.

One of Massachusetts biggest government scams other than the lottery, is insurance companies. Yes, they are in co-hoots with each other. MA government dictates who is there and what they charge.

Unbelievable is what it is.

So far, Ive gotten a quote from Progressive for $1,265.00 for a full 12 month year, full coverage and agreed value of $40K. Ive got two others working right now, one of them being Allstate so we will see, but I should have kept my mouth shut about what I was willing to pay max..cause this is right about on that number Anyhoo, it looks like it will work out afterall but I dont want to get pumped up til I have the papers signed and driving home with the boat... financing this was fun all by itself. Good thing my wifes credit was at least THREE POINTS HIGHER THAN MINE!!!! But now, technically she owns the boat so I better be good from now on if I get it
