my little tires up against the 2015 20's,,both KO-2's.some man LT tires.

they ride nice, smooth and not to loud,,my exhaust drowns any tire noise out.funny 2 tires were hard to balance and 2 really nice.the hard balance tires went on the back until they wear in a little.

why did you go with a smaller tire for winter? 285's work fine on these trucks , hell i may go with 305 or 295 next

narrow tires work a bunch better in deeper snow. The old dodge I plowed with had skinny hard michelin tires on it and it went a lot better than any other truck with wider tires ever has.

I ran the General Grabbers on my last truck for almost 60k then I replaced them with the BFG TA's those I ran for 40k. Both tires were very similar in all respects. Both good tires.

On the truck I had before that (so 2 trucks ago) I had TA's for the winter and a good summer tire on a different set of rims for the summer that's the way to do it, best of both worlds but a lot of upfront cost. Cant afford that on this truck, I am running 18" I couldn't justify the cost of the 20's and also the tire selection is not as good in that size... yet.

This truck I went with the Goodyear Silent Armor, so far this winter I have very happy with them.

As S30 and Zone said, thinner is better with snow. You do not want flotation, unless you are at the Arctic with hard snow on top of 20-30ft snow pack.

I run into that with a lot of LT series All Terrain tires from most all manufacturers. Sometimes I have to let the air back out (after seeing the big weights needed on the balancer) and spin the tire an extra 180* from where it was on the rim. Most, not all, the time it helps alot.

I don't run into it with the P series tires in the bigger sizes and All Terrain treads. So, me thinks, it's the ton extra metal or what have you belts in the LT series tires.
