Weight of tool box and vibration. If the front bulkhead was not there, may have been ok with box up farther. I wire welded a box like that once, but did not put tool box back on

Yep. A guy at the plant had his tool box mounted several inches off the from of the bed, and one day he hit a big bump and crack. Not as bad as that one, though.

It is hard to tell in the pics, but is it a metal box or a composite plastic. Chevrolet had a composite dent free bed option for a few years. If the Chevrolet on the Tailgate is lage and embossed it is a plastic box. Jeff Wurl

Truck has a ladder rack installed.
Tool box moved back, due to the ladder rack.
Bad installation of ladder rack, and tool box.

You probably could not get that tool box out w/ a 4k forklift.

Horders, comes to mind.

Probably contains 1k lbs worth of nuts and bolts, and 6" of water.

I work in the const. ind., in NC.
We got busted hard, going into SC, by the S.C. DOT, several years ago.

Seems like the sc.gov was correct, that our 150 fords, were tagged wrong, for the weight.

Thowing us on scales like the tracter trailers.

Lots of junk in the tool boxes. Had to go with the 250's, and sometimes, for a pipe fitter, pulling a welder, I'm still not sure if this is correct, because........they are never going to clean out the back of the truck.
