ummm white smoke , hows the head gaskets . the injectors should be about 3000 bucks plus labor labor is about 8 hrs i think. but if it needs headgaskets then that is another deal .

Your going to have to tighten up Rob, that just not right letting those hot rods sit. But you know the saying, "He with the most toys wins!"

There is another member on here with an original DZ-302 69' that I dont think has seen the sun in 10yrs. (Yes I am jealous as hell.) Tried to get his wife to sell it to me this weekend but no dice, LOL!

I only enjoyed detailing one vehicle my entire life and that was when I was a kid. One day I was riding home on the school bus and passed it going the other way on a flatbed. My dad had sold it and didn't tell me, I was so pissed we did not talk for two weeks.

Bought the car in the late 70's and took it completely apart, body off the frame, I was going to college at the time and ran out of money. After I got married finished it and dove it a couple times. We moved and had to store it and kind of forgot about it. Rolled it out dead on to a trailer and took it to a garage and believe it or not it does run. Btw the car started life as a 327 4 speed and now is a dual quad 427 with a turbo 400.

at 91k Its already has new head gaskets, was loosing coolant,I think i got screwed, they didn't do a die test, they said it had a blown head gasket,I went up there when it was a part and I couldn't see were it had blown/been leaking,They also said you cant resurface the heads, head gasket steel ring makes a indention in the head ,had to buy new heads.I'm thinking it was the seals on the injector sleeves that what was leaking. That was $6600.

There saying the smoke is from it leaking at idle, mines not bad,but I know something wrong and will need to be fixed.Only smokes at idle, once off idle no smoke,My buddy just did his ,his was smoking bad.he fixed it and traded it in on a dodge

Ive been reading up on the injectors on the forums and some are using rebuilt injectors?

Here is the thread on the head gaskets with pictures of everything

thanks guys.

I pretty much use white rouge and sisal buffing wheels, the green or gray compound bars in the picks are suppose to be for stainless, but there kinda gummy,I Usually already have it down to around 800 grit.the stainless exhaust on the truck I da'ed it and buffed it on the wheel, gets pretty hot.

The buckets of compound Ive used on the outdrive and alum and starting on the trailer.Makitia and 3m wool pad like for paint,it makes a hell of a mess. The 8/6inch wheels on the makitia works real good on stuff that to heavy to hold.again i just use the white rouge.

I have one of these in a 3/4 10in wheels
