Love me some flat configuration, mid engine cars. The GPRPCA (Great Plains Region, Porsche Club of America ) race often at my hometown track.

Artie or screen name "Regartie" was going to "fix" his wife's Porsche about 2 or 3 years ago and has been in boxes ever since

Almost responded to this but knew our "Resident Historian" could do a much better job of filling you in.

I know that feeling all too well. Speaking from my experiences, sometimes you just gotta take a break from something like that, otherwise i'll end up hating it. Ill get burnt out turning whats supposed to be a hobby, into a 2nd job, thats costs money on top of it!

Oh, that's not why. And the Porcha isn't the only engine in boxes...

The Nova has officially been fired up! It still has a ways to go before it’s race ready but it will get there soon enough! Huge thanks to Brad Nagel for the excellent wiring job and helping me get this thing started for the first time, along with the help of Scott Clark on the keyboard remotely. Also huge shootout to Doug Cook at Motion Raceworks for the support, help and supply of awesome parts! As well goes for Blake Hughes at 417 Motorsports as he has helped along the way and also build some bad ass parts for this car. I can’t wait to get this thing on the road!

All precision turbo components. Twins are dual ceramic ball bearing PT6766 turbos. Each rated for 1000hp range.

Engine is a iron LM7 5.3 LS based block. I put it in the SBE 5.3 category. "Stock Block Engine" probably one of the most argued categories in the LS world haha. The LM7 5.3 was put in just about every 1/2 ton chassis of truck, van, & SUV for both Chevrolet and GMC from 99 through the first part of 07.

Block and the 317 head castings are the only OEM parts. Everything else is top shelf. Aftermarket Forged crank is still stoke 3.622" stroke. Compression ratio is close to stock. Went with a taller piston to compensate the drop in cylinder compression from the 317 heads, so around 9.5:1

John Wischmann built the engine. Well known builder, puts out some impressive stuff! Ill add a video of his camaro.

Another Nova engine shot and pic of the Novas eventful maiden voyage! Gotta keep them double bead-locks torqued!
