Baracuda Factory Tooling

Barracuda "Factory Tooling" car for sale. A factory tooling car is the last sheet metal prototype and the first complete actual body stamping for that years model. This car was scribed every 5" by Chrysler engineers on both axis and then labeled at various intersections to help provide measurements for aligning body panels. It was used as a gauge to judge the production run. It is the tooling proof car for the 1974 model year. All other years were destroyed by the factory, the only one to escape the factory is my 1974. It was sold as a "body in white" to Dick Landy, but before he had it acid dipped at VAL CHEM in North Madison OH he opted to change body styles for that year in Pro Stock, saving this car from its origin being wiped out for good. It was then sold to a Chrysler employee who began assembly in his garage and then stored it for 30 years before I bought it. IT IS PART OF CHRYSLER HISTORY. The car is still in factory primer and has 0 miles on it.....that's right 0. When the car originally shipped it was a bare sheet metal shell bolted to a large wooden pallet. The original owner started building it up with Chrysler high performance components, hence it has a fresh 1970 HP 440 six-pack coupled to a 4 speed hemi transmission with pistol grip shifter and 8 3/4 posi rear end with a 355 gear. Have documentation. Complete but still needs some assembly. New price $60,000 or offer. Call 574 527-1551 cell, 574 342-0169 home, or 574 342-7375 work. Thanks Moparts!

The numbers matching 440 6 and hemi trans are worth the price of the car.
