Wonder how Fly Boy's exhaust works out for those docked around it?

It wasn't too bad David. The only problem was it was too crowded; difficult to move around to different parts of the boat.

I might try it again though.

Great work Jeff !!!

It appears you were in the right spots on all of the days.

Had I just reversed my plan from previous years, I might have done much better but other obligations kept me from being more flexible of where I wanted to be .... I can't complain though, those obligations are paying the bills....

Pete, funny you ask. I am currently doing my first video editing as I post this. I only had the cameras on Friday and they turned out great I think.

The only major problem I ran into was facing the sun...everything was pretty much a whiteout. As you will see in the video, I switched views to keep away from taping into the sun.

When I get the edited version done I'm planning to post here.

How did yours turn out?

well, I have a good one from wednesday, didnt do any on friday because I was running late. and sunday someone put them on the boats but didnt check to see if the cards were in them. and It wasnt me. so thats the way it goes . with the GoPro II i believe it will have a remote to turn on. so thats half the battle.

as for the sun, I had the same issue last year on one of the Supercats we had a camera on, but mech issue were a bigger problem than go video footage!

That would be great Pete ! Or at the very least be able to have it turn on with a timer... Estimate when the race will start and set a timer to turn the cameras on would be awesome !

with as short as wed & fri races are a 16 Gb card is more than enough, the batt last 2 hrs and a 16 gb card gives you 2 hrs of video, you will just have a lot to edit around.!

I agree 16 gig is plenty for first two days.

We were able to do a test run with Dave the crew chief on Thursday, which went well. What I mean is one of them was turned on and one wasn't.

then Friday morning I was able to show Dave more about it and what to look for (red light) and Friday worked like a dream.

The Go Pro's are extremely good for the price IMO. The Go Pro II with remote should make it a lot easier.

Great shots Jeff. Thanks for taking the time to post them for the guy's that couldn't be there.

I have a question about the Cannon Camera. I have an Cannon A1 35MM and a bunch of lenses and filters. Looking to up date to a Cannon Digital.

Will my lenses from the A1 work on a Cannon Digital?

35-105 200 400 Sun Pack Flash and a Power winder for the A1

If they are compatible with an EOS mount then yes, but I don't think they are.
