My goal is to keep the boat flying straight and level. Keeping the speed high enough so you don't slam etc. I like using the throttles and power to manipulate the attitude of the boat and make the boat do what I want.. I like giving throttle when cresting a wave to keep the attitude correct or in some cases giving enough speed to land on top of the second wave and not in ahead of it. I don't over trim and try to keep it as neutral as possible depending on the conditions. I believe more speed is had when the boat is "in" the water and pushing forward.
