Thanks for the Birthday wishes, gang! What an awesome weekend - the weather couldn't have been better...as nice as I've ever seen up there. Friday night street show was insane and the boats were incredible as always. Thanks to Bob for letting me camp in his yard - what a great spot. And Rob's rum and coke was just what I needed.

Posted a video on my Twitter Feed here: Boyne Thunder

Got to make some side trips on Saturday to some favorite spots on Torch Lake as well as hit Charlevoix. Hopefully I can get the wife to come along next year and avoid the last-minute planning.

That thing is incredible. 3 to 4 footers running 30 mph felt like setting in your living room on a couch playing a simulator game on a flat screen TV. No wind noise and comfortable. If you ever drove something that just seemed fake, not real. You had no idea you were in the middle of Lake Michigan.

Setting at the helm for 30 minutes before I realized the size of the cabin. It also had a aft cabin with a bed.

At lunch stop on Friday, Ace and Donna were playing a game while waiting for food. This pic should tell you the winner.

If you love boating and want to be a part of one of the most organized, executed and friendly events which raises $$$ for a good cause do yourself and sign up. Someone asked me what my favorite part was, that is hard to answer but watching Ace Drive the ‘47 Fountain at 70mph while listening to his dad teach him how to read the water and why we throttle back when the boat is airborne was priceless. Let’s not forget Abe waving at the thousands of spectators in Round Lake then quickly falling asleep on the back seat listening to the symphony of the triple 525’s rumbling along at 4000rpm. This will be something I plan on attending again for sure.
We were happy to have you! You are welcome on board anytime. We have already booked a house in town for next year
