great collection of boats, you must have more pics.

The Warlock was a very cool boat, although it had some delamination problems. We ran it pretty hard in SF Bay, Long Beach and Lake Ponchartrain. Ran mid 90's with warm Merc 200's. I'd like to see pics of Ambusher's....

I'll dig up a couple more pics and post.....

The 24 Skaters would pull us in the big stuff......but we'd give them a good run in the flatter water. Paul Abreu handled the throttles....he had he touch. No doubt the aggressive throttles led to the delam problems and deck/hull separation at the bow. Tom Stolarz at Warlock made good on the deal though and sent us a full race replacement hull. I do remember getting a bit "damp" by the end of each race.......

What speeds are you seeing with the Quad Rotor? You're having hull issues?

This is actually our second 25 also. Tom bought our 1st one back b/c it was a pig not to mention you would get wet just running up the lake @35-45MPH. He built the one we have now with very highX dimension and lighter deck. We have put it through hell and back, knock on wood, no hull problems. Its had atleast 12 different engine combos over the years, everything from 650HP-1300HP+.
We have not run it yet with the new motor but with the 540 and 2.3 quads it would run 125mph with right @ 1/3 throttle left. it would turn a 34pitch 4blade with 1.50 gear 7200-7300RPM's. Wicked acceleration! and handles great.

Design proposal

Hi!

Lacking any real boat to photograph I might as well post the sketches of my design. The boat is 30' LOA and is designed to seat 4-5 persons for use as a day cruiser/bathing.
The foredeck is slightly rounded and meets the sides of the hull in a radius. The cabin/cockpit is designed to shield from wind when seated but allow a 6' person to stand with head over windshield for good visibilty.
The perhaps odd design in the rear has to with the eninge which will a turbine. In order to provide a well ventilated engine bay area and get the exhaust up high without having to resort to a stack it has to be something like this. I'm also sceptical to having somebody sunbathing on top of the turbine while its operating so this design effectiviely solves mosr of the issues above ;-)

With a little bit of luck the building process can be started during the summer.

I'd appreciate if anybody with experience from hull design had any comments or do's and don'ts.

And by the way, no it's not a periscope that sits on the roof...it's a rectractable mast for the lantirns.

With regards

Fredrik
