You may want to tell them they have a "KKK" sign in the window.

David Duke, Duke Lacrosse Case, etc- just not a good image even though "I" think it is harmless. That may sound over-sensitive but honestly that was the first thing that stood out at me.

Duke is one of the top universities in the country and one of the best hospitals anywhere , only you would try to ugly the name and bring up chit that has no bearing what so ever

Good post Takeda! I really admire the Med Flight guys/gals. They are launching out in weather when other pilots are heading back to the hangar.

Not going to jump your chit here Mark because I don’t really know whether you thought before you posted this or not. If you did and that is your first thought then I really think you owe it to yourself and their staff to get in your car and take a ride to Duke. Spend the day and see what these people do and the UT-most care and professionalism they provide for their patients. I have spent more time in doctors’ offices and hospitals that I only wish I could forget and pray that others never have to experience. Having spent days on end at Duke Medical/University Hospital with my father I can promise you there is no Medical staff or facility in the country that has a more caring or knowledgeable team. You might find some that are equal but none better. If we could have only gotten him there sooner I think he would still be here with us today. I believe if nothing else they got him more time and that is something I will be forever indebted to them for.

I'll second that. EVERY other doc gave my Dad 2-3 months. With Duke, he got another 1 3/4 years, the vast majority of it very good quality. We also spent many nights & days at Duke, and they are top notch. Heck, if we had known and had them do his original surgery, he might still be here.

BTW, the "kkk" isn't a sign, it looks to be a diagram on the back of a piece of medical supplies (note the different colors and the circle in the middle). You might also check that Duke lacrosse ref - it was a BS charge, the girl lied, the DA knew about the lie, but prosecuted for political reasons. DA was then prosecuted for his role.

I'm quoting myself and don't see where I ever said any thing about Duke University not being one of the top universities in the country, not being one of the best hospitals anywhere , not being professionals, not being a the most caring or knowledgeable team?

Do I think the rear of that box is racist? Not at all by any means what-so-ever. Do I think that it is a racist sign or intentional that it reads 3 K's in a row? Not at all by any means what-so-ever. Do I think it could be interpreted, especially by someone with an agenda, as that it reads as 3 K's in a row which is notoriously associated with a racist organization, especially in the south, where Duke is located? Without a doubt..

Put it this way- do you think that Duke University would be offering an apology to Azzhole Al (Sharpton) or Jackazz Jessie (Jackson) if they saw this? Duke would apologize and have sensitivity training because someone wasn't sensitive. For the record, I think that is one thing that is wrong with this country but it is the truth.

My post was 100% meant to prevent the above from happening instead of a jab at Duke. 40 cents worth of medical take on the back side of that box would have made this conversation never happen. I'd prefer to see that route vs Duke, being one of the top universities in the country it is, being one of the best hospitals anywhere that it is, being professionals that they are and being a the most caring or knowledgeable team that they are drug through the mud, again.
