Black Rat Snake

I work 5 minutes from a barn where Karen boards her horse.
Since work is so close, I visit Daisy often and water all the horses.
Especially in this hot weather.

The first pic is from last month, big Rat Snake on the back of the hay trailer.
Hes a big one. Well, today I saw him again . . . with a full belly!
Rat? Rabbit?

Would love to know what he ate. Whatever it was, he won't have to eat for a while!

Probably a field rat or rabbit like you said. Depending on the feed storage at the barn the rats can get huge. I'm like you though, he wont need to eat for awhile.

black snakes don't get big enough to eat rabbits . if they do it will be a new born rabbit they like mice.rats .and eggs PLEASE don't kill him he will keep the mice and rats out of you horse feed ...rat and mice droppings in the feed can make your horse sick
