[QUOTE=Dead Silence;265683]What's the story?

I purchased the boat in 2009 from a bank repo. No motor or drive. purchased the motor and B1 outdrive in Jax Fla. Installed the package, and the motor was no good. Cracked heads internal water leak. Rebuilt the engine, finally got it started last Saturday. She sounds like a real beast. Hope to have some video this weekend.

Awesome story, and yea.... sounds sort of funny.... but we call our 272 "The Beast". I suppose it's all relative. Compared to most of what you find on here it's not a beast, but compared to our Bayliner, and most of the boats on our lake, she is a beast. Let us know some numbers, power, when you get time.

Question for all the expert. Wanted to know what size prop should I use on my boat. 25Ol with 7.4 litre (Estimated 450-485 hp) 10-1 c/r 088 sqr prt heads with 2.300 int 1.88 ext, high rise int single plane intake holley 800cfm, custom grind Ron Spurl hyd roller cam 629 int 629 ex lift with 230 in 235 ex duration @ 050 lobe sep 114*, I`m using Gil/Merc w/ 4.5 long dry tail pipes. Hope to spin the engine 5200-5500 rpm. The outdrive B1 with 1.50 gear. Would like to get 68-72 mph gps. With this setup will I be able to run these speed?

does the 25OL like a 3 blade or a 4 blade? i would think a 3 blade from the looks of the drive depth. If i remember a frind had one with the 415 hp 502 and i want to say he was close to 70.

Mike, I don`t know 3 blade or 4 blade. I haven`t had the boat in the water. The drive height in the boat is set at factory height.
