nope i had the same truck i have now with the big gas motor and i can promise you my Duramax will out run my old gas truck in a drag race. Now at the hit of the power the gas may jump out on it but by the time i get to the top of 1st gear i am coming around it. Also mine is chipped up with big exhaust .

I have a buddy with a "souped up" cummins 2500.... I dusted him easily with my 1500 Hemi.... don;t know what's different about yours.... probably the driver
