My Boat Headers

Hi Guys

I got a couple of request to post some pictures of the headers I built for my boat so here they are. I have built a few headers over the years and am trying to get my old flat bottom running again. I always wanted to build some merge collectors and finally took the time to build a set. It hasn't run in ten years and needs to ! I figure that there needs to be at least one flat on Lake Norman ! I will just get out my old kidney belt from back when I was racing bikes ! hahahaha

Thanks for the compliments guys ! Just hope that the Wild Life doesn't hate it to much. I made the collectors 4 and a half inch diameter so there is room for muffler inserts. Like I said can't wait to hear that dog BARK ! hahahahaha I have been working on it today.

Hi Guys

Here is a old picture of the boat and my Ranchero. It is not the best picture but it is all I could find right now. This is with a different set of headers that I also made. I chopped the top on the truck three inches and have had both the truck and the boat for about thirty years and will probably use them for a coffin ! hahaha Yes the boat motor is a Ford. Thanks for the compliments !

Hi Guys
I made the collectors. I took me a couple of weeks as I made fixtures to cut the precise angles on the pieces. The parts have to fit together without any gaps since I tig welded everything together. I didn't want to go through the effort to make a die to swedge the tapered collector transition so I just rolled a cone and welded it together. I haven't fired it up yet and I am also looking forward to hearing it run again. Woopass !hahahaha
