Did anyone catch the new show on the history channel? I just watched it on-line. It didn't suck!

Saw it as well and as Billy said its not even close to the REAL Top Gear!! I give it a C at best. There should be an episode where they run a car vs the Donzi factory ZRC down to KW.

I agree. The brits are just way more comic and the challenges they come up with are crazy. Plus the show over there is shot better. Still gonna watch the US version though. Any time I can watch 3 Lambos run a mile at speed, is just cool.

Ah, my first post. The British is the original and best one. I don't like the American hosts, no chemistry, overall like all copies, very cheap imitation. Gave it a F!!!! I have BBC America and watching real TG as I write this!

Agreed, it was very disappointing. I'm going to DVR the first couple of episodes, but don't think it'll get any better.

Gave it a second chance! Maybe a third time after Boardwalk Empire and Dexter season's end and nothing else on!

I saw the 3 Lambo compare...I thought it was pretty $hi++y presentation.
The announcers squabling over which supercar was best really detracted from what could have been an interesting view. If they would have showed some more tech and tearing up the cars with a LOT less bs from the "hosts" it would have been better.

170? Thats it? Until you are running 210-220 it isn't interesting!

After being in helicopters doing the boat photography it was pretty cool just to watch that guy fly the cobra but the announcers did suck.

I think as others have said about focusing on hosts is ruining the show. They are trying to force a chemistry thats not really present.

HD theater on Direct TV, has some o.k car shows--Chasing Classic Cars for example and with BBC America have original Top Gear. Tanner Faust is better on Super Cars Exposed (think thats Speed channel) with Paul Tracy. History could cancel American Top Gear and I would not miss it! Or they can stop the forced best bud host stick and have an o.k eye candy all about the exotic toys good show!
