"What a tomato Two" came to town w/DODGE 3500 and trailer in tow.....add kicked azzzz and left.....w/check in hand. Great guy to talk with...

The pictures look great mike. Exposure is spot on. You got the most out of that 70-300. That would be a perfect lens at Wheatland since you shoot so close to the boats. I use a Nikon D700 with a 300 2.8 lens and I have a 1.7 teleconverter which makes it a 500mm 4.8 lens. I shoot all in manual and meter off of two buoys between where I'm trying to get the best shot. The boats have so much chrome which can throw your camera off when it reflects off of the sun.

Thank you Rick , shooting at Augusta is tough because of everything in the way , it is hard to find a place you can see the whole track without looking past something in the way. When i was at the shutdown area shooting i would love a real long lens and later in the day i really needed 2.8 because i was needing such a fast shutter to try to stop the action and the sun gets off the track late in the day.
