Thanks! I guess the main reason I didn't go with 100% SSD is my experience with 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB Hybrid drives with my Lenovo W520. The MyDigital 128GB SSD CACHE works well with post-processing my photos, along with the optional i7-4930MX CPU.

Nice machine! Before retiring from IBM, I had a W500, which they provided. When I retired, I turned in the W500, and bought a W520, almost 2 years ago.
It's still a great machine, and I'm now using it with a port replicator, external monitor, mouse, and keyboard.

That's my work computer, have a few of them. My gripe is there is no DB9 connector. I realize technology is moving away from the ol' DB9 but "I" still need it.

Ditto. I had to buy an USB to serial adapter to use newer computers with some of the data logging equipment (even brand new, it comes with serial ports). Why doesn't the equipment switch to USB? MUCH more prone to noise in the industrial or automotive environment.

Yea- I have a ton of those converters (we call them "dongles"). PITA. I work for Verizon and every thing uses DB's (and Hyper Terminal which Windows doesn't come with any more).

I still have an IBM Workpad, IBM's version of a PalmIII. The docking cradle for is has a serial port, so I had to buy a USB to serial port adapter for it.
