OK.......more progress and it took hiring another builder to finish the last couple steps. Other parts I've done myself.
The original builder put up that huge scaffolding so that the ceiling (corrugated metal) could be installed. Unfortunately he disappeared so I hired another builder to come install the ceiling and build the steps (I had intended to build them myself but decided against it). Before the ceiling went in I found a company to insulate the walls for what I could buy the materials for. R-19 went in the I had some buddies come help me put Tyek wrap on backwards to cover all the walls. The lights are 6 bulb T-5 fixtures that put out ALOT of light. The lighting company used a rating for commercial and said to use 6 fixtures......so I bought 8!!! I ended up cutting holes to recess them after framing them out. I used sheet metal so the blown in insulation wouldn't rest against the back of the fixtures. The 3rd pic is taken from the staircase landing: Last edited by t500hps; 01-23-2012 at 10:29 PM.

We had decided to add attic space which then created the need for a staircase. After insulation went in I floor the entire space upstairs. It's 14 x 56 long and is prepped for plumbing, cable TV, electric. I called it a big attic and my wife is already telling me to "finish" it off as a party room....guess she has some money stashed somewhere I don't know about!!!
Notice the exterior door sitting there. Since I've insulated the entire thing I have to do something about the big hole that air escapes upstairs through. I've bought the materials to frame, insulate, and door the top of the staircase to seal the 2 areas off from each other. I also found the framers really screwed up. Apparently as they were setting the trusses on 24in centers, one guy on one side measured 23 inches for one of the spans.......the damn thing is crooked and the plywood doesn't fiit the trusses like it should........all the way down the building!!!! Required shaving sheets repeatedly til I got to the end of the building.
