I miss this boat sometimes...

Almost forgot about this video. YMCA Poker Run in Destin, Fl. in 2006. Best I remember, we ran around 125mph that day. It was a sweet boat. 30' Daytona w/HP500s and Pro-Chargers. 1.36 ratio and 5-Blade 35's at the business end. Came home and did open heart surgery a few days later. Now I know why my chest hurt all weekend at the Poker Run.

i have done it my self and i have been wet 2 times and both of them were at close to that speed. all i am saying is we need to rethink going that fast without them. i feel fine at 80 or 90 but over 100 you just need to be safe

never been wet, thank god but your right.if you can go really fast for a given sized boat, some type of life jacket is a good thing.only takes a rogue wake and things can go bad, fast.

I always thought that if something goes wrong in a pleasure boat at those speeds the life jackets are only good to find the bodies more easily.

do you really think 80-90 is any safer then over 100 if you get tossed??

kinda like wearing a 2 doller helmet to ride a motorcycle, if you use one that is made to take the impact you stand a better chance.
