Turbine Outage
Only been apart twice in my 20 years here and never once an oil change. Pretty cool since it rarely has shut down for more than an hour or two per year.

Nice! I'm in the hoist and crane service industry and involved with all of the Duke Energy outages. Every time I see these pics it makes you realize how many parts are in these turbines. I have some pics of a outage where I modernized a 175 ton bridge crane, I'll see if I can find some.

COOL
The "steam ring" sections get machined here where I work. Amazing technology goes into the shape of the blades and vanes. Design that creates a fraction of percent increase in efficiency gets a BIG payoff when used for so many years.
