I miss this boat sometimes...

Almost forgot about this video. YMCA Poker Run in Destin, Fl. in 2006. Best I remember, we ran around 125mph that day. It was a sweet boat. 30' Daytona w/HP500s and Pro-Chargers. 1.36 ratio and 5-Blade 35's at the business end. Came home and did open heart surgery a few days later.

Now I know why my chest hurt all weekend at the Poker Run.

i have done it my self and i have been wet 2 times and both of them were at close to that speed. all i am saying is we need to rethink going that fast without them. i feel fine at 80 or 90 but over 100 you just need to be safe

never been wet,thank god but your right.if you can go really fast for a given sized boat,some type of life jacket is a good thing.only takes a rogue wake and things can go bad,fast.

I always thought that if something goes wrong in a pleasure boat at those speeds the life jackets are only good to find the bodies more easily.

kinda like wearing a 2 doller helmet to ride a motorcycle, if you use one that is made to take the impact you stand a better chance.

do you really think 80-90 is any safer then over 100 if you get tossed??

yes and no if you hit your head speed does not mater. most boats that we play with can run close to those speeds and not get out of shape. so to answer your ? is it safer ,not really
