Top Fuel Drag Racing-The Rock

Have all you guys been to a top fuel drag race? If not it is definitely worth going if you get the chance. I had always heard people talk about the noise and physical vibration of the Top Fuel cars but words can't describe it. It scared the chit out of me the first run they made.

Here is a link to a few of the pictures I took Sunday at Rockingham.

Great shots. Thanks for sharing.

I built pro stocks and traveled the country maintaining and tuning. Haven't been to a race in several years.

I love the fresh smell of NITRO in the morning.

Yeh, I made the mistake of not going to the Oak Hollow drags when they used to be in High Point. I think they quit having them there a few years ago.

I ran an outboard in the first Oak Hollow race and then moved up to the River Race Hydro and then Blown Gas Hydro. I was running a Sanger Pickle Fork in Blown Gas.

I also ran at the drags at Blues Creek. There are very few people that know drag races were held at Blues Creek.

These guys are running a lot faster than what were were running back then.

Are there still any races around here or are the Augusta Nationals the closest?

No S#it, I never knew my eyeballs could shake in my head like that.
