The Legend of Triple Digits

I hear Hollywood is interested in the story behind the 100mph Stingray.

Coming to a theater near you...

I must have missed this one, Who's claiming to have a 100mph stingray? What power etc?

Mine with a supercharged 496 would run 92mph.

Dude named Tripple Digits. From what I understand, it's not that the boat may not run that fast, it's the fact that he's a loud mouth that talks a lot of chit and so far, has been a no-show a couple of times when he was supposed to back up his speed claims. Been banned from a couple other sites over his BS. Then, posts a crappy video from the NY poker run where he claims to be walking away from several high powered boats. A couple points, however;

1) He's not even entered in the run

2) The video is taken from so far away you can't even tell what boats they are or how fast they are really running.

3) No shot of his speedo or GPS to even verify any speed claim

4) The boats that he is supposed to be running with are running behind a PACE BOAT at sub 80 speeds, I would think.

5) No one, and I mean NO ONE who was at the PR, has admitted to seeing this boat at anytime during the day.

Sunday, 9:00am is supposed to be his time of reckoning. Either run 100.01mph or man up and admit you're full of

Monday morning should be very interesting.

I actually talked to the guy at one point because he wanted my take on his shortened Alpha Drive, which I told him would have a market if he could keep the upgrade below 2K. His boat has a stout Steve Schmidt SBC, I think from memory 434 CI. It turns pretty healthy RPM nearing 7000 and he has sprayed it from time to time. So lets say he is pushing 600 HP NA and spraying a 300 shot would be enough power to hit 100. The question is will he show?

Looks like he might have wrenching skills but lacking in the people skills.

Someone over there said if he would have came on board with a "hey guys look at this" vs "here is my POS that will out run all you scum" he would have more support- I agree

I will say this, if he is running that fast he had better have his chit together and be in perfect water conditions. We had a good many of them around here that would run upper 80's to mid 90's and each one of them had blown big blocks of various sizes and also a couple with NOS. In smooth water you had to drive them but in normal weekend water conditions it was a handful but damn they were fun boats

Well, verdict is in - 87.1mph. Let the excuses begin.

Your Delta Tau Chi name from now on will be.......................Double Digits!!!!!

Little Animal House reference!!!

There were supposedly a couple of boats that accepted his challenge also. Haven't heard yet if they showed up and if they did, if they outrun DD.

He is still not due to return till later this week. He wanted me to say he was in the witness protection program. He only knows about this because I sent him a text message this morning when I saw your post. Thanks Bernie for being stand up.

Sut....you could see a response like that coming from a mile away......... I was actually hoping he could show up and run the 100 first time out...then I saw and learned his modis..

It's going to be like the show Lost....everytime you watch the show you think they're going to get off the island but you know it will never actually happen...

So he showed up and ran 87.....that was the Sandbag run....next run a guy with a 90 mph boat shows up...he runs 91...takes his money...then a guy with a 95 mph boat shows up and he runs 96 mph until he knows he's beat and dissapears into the sunset with their cash and finds a new set of victims....

People like that burn me.....
