How to Embed YouTube Video in 3 easy steps

Its Really simple

Step 1.

Click on the circled box that says "share"

This will expand the window to what is shown in Step 2

Step 2

Click on the circled box that says Embed

That will open the expanded window show in step 3

Step 3A and 3B

Step 3A. Select the size you want the video to appear on Boatfreaks. 640 works best. (circled in red)

Step 3B Take the code that is highlighed (Utube will highlight by default) and click Copy. (The code that is highlighted is circled in red)

Okay, I lied, its really 4 steps

start a thread or make a new post in a thread on Boatfreaks, and in the message box, Paste the code that you copied in Step 3B.

Thats it. You have embedded a video.

Note: This will ONLY work in the General Discussion and Techinal parts of the forum. It will NOT work in the Off topic parts.

Question. When I use the code and click preview I can't see my video. I can only see it when I post it up for real and even then I have to refresh the page to see it. Is that normal?

I don't know about the preview, but as soon as you post the code, and submit the post it should show the imbedded video
