Nordic, post them if ya got them....

Well since I requested thought I would be say thanks to Zone5 and Boatfreaks for the Nordic section. Here is a picture of my dad's old boat that we are driving up to NM to deliver to a guy that lives in Durango, Co. You may have seen it in the Classified section. And the second boat is the new boat he will be picking up from Bob at Full Throttle Marine in Austin, Tx

Hey Tom how's it going man. I'm sure you have seen me on the Crownie forumn as well. My dad and I just got back from New Mexico a guy from Colorado bought his Rage. We were up in Tucamcari where the elevation was 4200 feet. We couldn't believe how much power we lost out of that boat up there. The guy that bought the boat lives in Durango, Co which is another 1400 ft up. I guess the first thing he did was put a 28 pitch prop on the boat with the next size down pulley which would be the one Bob got 1000hp out of in Austin. He called my Dad today wondering what he needed to do to get more control out of the boat LMAO. So I guess he has it back where it used to be what was wierd though was that he said he couldn't get the boat to plane with the smaller pulley and the 30p labbed prop and it took about 10 sec to plane with the 28 p. Anyway my dad told him he needs to put dual ram and full hydro steering to the helm. We pick the lightning up at Bobs on the 26th. You gonna make it to Texoma the end of Aug.???

All is well at my crib. Glad you guys got the Rage sold! I do like those Lightnings!!! lots of room. I don't plan on going to Texoma but things could change. It sucks how altitude kills horse power, thank god for superchargers!

That's a gorgeous machine @nautiobsession! I'd love to see some more photos (cuddy shots too) if you have a few lying around... If you're like me, you've got a couple hundred in your jacket pocket

I've got a 496 in my 23 Outlaw. I can't see going for anything less than a Merc 525 in my next boat. That said, what a great price on the leftover Nordics!!

Curious what the 28 Heat with the 496 HO can do performance-wise?

My 08 is one of the new "no wood" models and on a good day and light load: 65 mph. B-Blades is lab finishing my prop right now and I will let everybody know how it performs in the Spring.
