I guess I'll start this thread off by posting a pix of my new Cmate 30' Convincor w/ 300X Mercs. I hope to see fellow Bfreaks on LKN and Wylie this summer!

Nice ride, MM. Did you buy that from Kunkels Marine? How fast?

Thanks! I bought it used from a guy in Illinois, the boat shows closer to new than it does its age. I can run 70 gps. Best speed was 71 gps. I am going to try a b1 26 lab this summer.

In case you havent seen these yet, brochure pics for the 08's. Doug Smith (former owner of Baja) is now an Owner at Checkmate. Rumor has it Dean Reynolds (Baja Outlaws) is there, along with Comb's 2 sons.

Finally updating the old graphics.

Rumor has it they are going to be using a lot of Egg Beaters.

HB- I heard Dean R. is the new plant manager. He used to be at CM before he went to Baja so it's good to see him back. Mr. Smith has made some good changes so far (graphics, interiors, marketing). I just hope he manages this company better then the last......

I really like the graphics on the 2400 OB. I might have to order a new boat!

So X Driver, willing to bet anything on how long the combs boys last there?

;)

Hopefully they end up buiding something bigger, and loosen the bottom up a bit. But like you said, a good start.

Well, the GD forum got a little bumpy so I thought I'd risk a post over here...
The ice isn't going out for another few weeks, so I only have last years boat pics...but I do have new engine shots! 454's bored .060 and stroked 4.25 with the Eagle 11111 rotating assemblies, balanced.

So there!:nudie

Gotta deal on them - they were cheaper than the ones with the complete tops.:rollsmile

They are valve reliefs to allow monster lift and cam timing adjustments...

I have some heads too...I'll pic them once i've cleaned them up.

Yup, she's a real Beauty and looks in great shape - what year/model/power is it?

The portholes are futher forward than on the Maxxum 281 and you don't have the torpedo holes at the front! Your interior is probably a generation younger needing the porthole moved, but I wonder why no headlights?

And I just found out I'm buying a ski platform (married), although I'm too old and wise to ski behind me - I like the minimalistic approach, as to not take away from the transom line, kind like yours.

I still have my first Checkmate, bought new in 1974, and love the hull for the solid feel. This will be the first twin for me, so I'm looking forward to putting this one together. Here's the "sales" pics from when I bought her, can't wait to get it wet....

Its a 1995 283 Convincer Single 502 EFI The new one's are now called a 303.
No torpedo holes( Docking lights). The boat was bought in NY when it was new.

Holds 130 Gallons of fuel. Its does real well on fuel burn.

Its a full 28' long if you don't measure the swim platform.
I parked beside a 32' Sunsation and my boat looked as long as the Sunsation. Its 30' and change measuring the platform.

130 gallons eh? That's great news,:1bounce, as I've been tring to find out what might be in mine..thanks. I don't even want to think about fuel burn at this point - I'm going "green" and running QJets/dual-plane/stock cams with the 9.1 comp 496 stroke kits this year.

The platform looks even better from that view. Nice ride.:rock

Like the new smiley - fits me perfectly. Heads I found through OSO - $750. Really needs a valve job, but I'm just gonna clean 'em up for this year as I'll be rigging and fitting this summer...next year I'll do the top end.

I purchased my 98 Convincor from Boatn70 winter of 2010 and ran it every weekend all summer. Now that the boats put up for the winter I have some time to meet everybody and post some pics. My 2011 winter plans are a red aluminum swim platform and anodized gauge bezels. Next winter after I get it payed off I want to put some real power in it via a 502.

I couldn't be happier with the boat! Everyone who saw the boat for the first time couldn't believe the way it was kept and that it was a 98. I would like that 502. I seen the procharger and manifolds for sale. Did the manifolds sell? What were you thinking for the 502 and manifolds? Send me some specs on the motor again. I wasn't planning on a repower until next winter but who knows?
