Powerboating for a Cure is June 27 & 28 2014

Powerboating for a Cure Registration Includes:
A week end celebration of boating, the highlight event being the Powerboating for a Cure Poker Run. The activities were designed for participation and enjoyment of our local community and all of our area visitors!

Powerboating for a Cure Poker Run is SOLD OUT!

We are full!!! Thanks to everyone that signed up. If you have any extra crew, you will need to fill out an addendum registration form and mail a check in before MAY 15!!!

Dock assignments will be out about a week before the poker run. Due to the number of boats signed up, there will be some rafting so make sure you bumpers are clean and have covers!!

Poker Runners, I know everyone has been waiting on information about the Friday Fun Run. Here is some exciting news. Mark and Nancy Tuck has been gracious enough to host a party at their home. Additionally, the Poker Run committee has been gracious enough to fund the party to be catered. We are taking the fun run to the next level!!!!!!
Here is what we are asking of the participants. We need a head count from each boat that wants to attend. Please respond with a head count so we can get a number to the caterer. The last thing we want to do is run out of food and sent someone back to the dock hungry!!!!!
Mark and Nancy's home is just about the same mileage from Waterside as Smithfield Station. It's on a very calm, very protected waterway. There will be plenty of docking available. We will use Marks dock as well as his neighbors. We will be rafting off each dock. Please make sure you have bumpers and lines ready when you enter the canal.
We will muster up outside of Waterside at 11, and head to the party.
Bring a cooler with your favorite beverage.

I look forward to meeting some of you! :rock Still undecided if I am doing the fun run in my boat but I am going to try to make it!

Just a few days away! Everyone is doing last minute preps and checks. The excitement is building!!!
A few words about docking for the fun run. We are expecting over 40 boats to be parked at Mark Tucks house. This will make a great photo for this years Christmas cards!!!!
As seen in the sketch, he will have a 40 ft. Sea Ray docked directly behind his Outerlimits. We will raft the larger boats off of either side of the Sea Ray. As the boats get further out from the anchored boat additional anchors will be required to keep the line in tact.
Smaller boats will be able to dock to Marks neighbors dock.
There will be people standing by on the docks to help as we pull in, and as always help your neighbor get tied up before you leave you boat unattended.
The tides will be working in our favor. We will arrive just about at high tide.
Please be patient while docking. Let's get everyone in and out without issue!!!
