Back to Jordan Point where we started for years instead of the start location last year (that was tough to get out of). Dock party and banquet will be similar with the no "wet T-shirt" contest being the only change (it got to be too much for the marina).

Well I had a great time! This was my 10th year and once again I met some new people I intend on seeing on the water in the future. I can only hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

The rain held things back a bit and kept some of the boats from making the dock party at all (at 6:00 about 10-12 boats still hadn't made it in). Yes, the dock party was scaled back and it was intentional......girls walking around buck naked actually gets old eventually and the locals weren't thrilled. Certainly something will be added in it's place for next year. The food, the course, party, etc was all great.

Barry and Cathy Adkins, John and Shannon Hope put this event together and did an excellent job IMO. I was your "MC" at the captains meeting and banquet dinner even though that was not the plan. Few of you are aware that Barry's mother passed Wed evening leaving his mind anywhere but with this event. I gladly took over for him but I wanted to tell each of you these guys really appreciate all of you who support this run and the Shriners.

Some of you may have noticed Randy Nuzzo was missing from the party. He too had a potential family emergency and had to leave. Thankfully his presence at home was all that was needed and everything is fine now. Since Randy couldn't display all his great shots Saturday night maybe we can get him to post some of them for all of us to see!!!!


Even with the "hick-ups" my wife told me she enjoyed this run better than she has the last couple years. I certainly hope to see everyone before next years run......but I expect to see you AT next years run too!!!
