Thanks Chuck! Saw you out today. I got the boat in the water this morning and took a ride up the river. I was on the opposite side of the island near the train bridge and saw you go buy. Jetmech was out with me and ran back to the Nauti Goose with Blue Thunder.
I'm going to try and make it. I have a lot of personal stuff going on right now but it's fathers day weekend and I'm going to ask for a hall pass!

Hi Guys, not sure I'll be able to make the run. Shipped my MSD Box back to them today, the tachometer signal stopped working. I should have a new one in 2 wks.
I found a used box in Chicago but by the time it's shipped next week and getting it re-installed, plus closing on the house coming up, I just don't think I can make it happen. Frank offered to lend me his 6AL box but I'd have to change the harness or cut up my existing harness and it's just too much of a PITA.
Sorry guys. :(

Heard you guys had a great run!! I was crossing the Rt. 95 bridge on my way to Anchor and saw everyone heading down the river towards the bay.
Towards the end of the day, about 3 pm I went up river to see if I could catch you all coming back in. I drifted around in front of Tomes for a while but didn't see anyone so we headed back to Anchor.
I didn't realize the Suskey had dock space, otherwise I would have pulled in and waited for everyone to get back. I went there for lunch yesterday by land with the family.
Meanwhile, I took a ride around Turkey Point and up to where my new house is going to be, then headed to Chesapeake Inn for Lunch, then over to Tomes and back to Anchor.

Turkey Point? That is not too, too far from me. 301N to 214E by land.
Todd Harper owns Turkey Point Marina and a few other thing. Cancun Cantina is bar he owns 1/2 of and he has/had a 46 Skater he raced with that on there. He had a 38' Cig that was his dads that he races as well, will never give that boat up I don't think. The other owner is Ron IIRC and he has a Concept. I forget the story but Todd is related to Johnson & Johnson (Tide, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, Listerine, etc). He had a few Tide race cars in his garage at one time. It's been about 10 years since I've seen him so doubt he knows who I am but use to boat out of Turkey Point every weekend for about 5 years.
He has (or had) a house right down the street and throws one HELL of a party!

That's a different turkey point than the one he is referring to. There are no marinas there just a lighthouse.

I second that. I put this run near the top of the fun list strickly due to that fact alone. Thats how runs should be run.

No doubt!! Looking forward to doing a run with all of you guys soon!
The NJPPC does the AC poker run the same way. Last year we would stop at each stop, wait for everyone, then take off. There were several classes, the ocean class (no speed limit), the 70 mph inside group and the 60 mph inside group. In the speed limited group you could not pass the pace-boat or you would be DQ'ed. The ocean, non speed limited group, once you passed the jetty coming out of the inlet you were free to run your own speed.
I had more fun on the inside group because everyone stuck together and the last 5-10 miles we went out the cut and into the ocean so I still got to do a little ocean running that day. Coming home the next day I ran the ocean all the way home.

Blue Thunder gets the Good Samaritan award for following Jetmech back to the ramp and waited for him and his crew to trailer the injured boat and then take them all on the rest of the run. BT I bust your balls all the time but you and Jesse are a couple stand up good people. Thanks for the help with the drive and also the offer to repair it if things didn't work out at Tomes.:rock

We are on the edge also. Busy with Moms health problems and house stuff. The AT has been out just 3 times this season so far. Headed to the marina tomorrow to finish hooking up the steering and trim rams to the drive, had to pull that off to check a noise I had. We'll see how things go.
The pictures were taken with my beat up Canon point and shoot! I love that little camera. See ya soon. Tell everybody we said Hi.!

Thanks for the kind words John and pics of the sausage fest on my boat :rollsmile The good news is Jetmech has his engine rebuilt and running again one week later and is ready for JOTJ. Said that all looked ok inside, oil was clean and green. So they replaced the seal and gave it back to me. I'm going to head back dowwn tomorrow and finish it up and run it. Are you around this weekend? If I still hear the noise I'm going to have to have another set of ears listen.
Bob is an animal! Tore it down had all the repairs done before saturday morning! Didn't get the parts til thursday! And in the midst of all his work he had time to stop by the marina and give me a hand on the 500EFI I was working on. Good people down on the bay!

Thanks Buddy ! You saved the day for us ... ran the boat 90 plus miles yesterday ... all seems normal ... air/fuel tune a little rich up to 4200 rpm ... still have to straight arm it for a final checkout . Diamond Performance (Bill) stopped by to help install the repaired engine ... Thanks Bill !

We usually don't come off plane we did it for the poker run. A group of boats all coming at the bridge at once can get a bit hairy.
